Hopefully everyone had a happy
holiday season and are looking forward to the coming of Spring and nice
weather to enjoy the Swim Club facilities.
Annual dues are due by March
1, 2001. If you pay by this date, you will receive a free guest pass ($40
value).
We are still looking for a
Treasurer. Please call me if you would like to volunteer. Your membership
dues will be paid by the club for taking on this job.
Two additions to the by-laws
were voted upon in November's general membership meeting. These are:
- Article XIV - Swim lessons
taught at Chabot Swim Club and sanctioned by the Chabot Swim Club, will
only be taught by WSI Certified Instructors employed by Chabot Swim
Club.
- Article XV - Paries held
at the Swim Club of 10 to 30 persons will be formally requested in writing
in advance by Swim Club members and be subject to Board Approval and
Party Fee of #40. This fee covers admittance of non-members and staffing
of lifeguards.
Otherwise all the same rules
apply this year as were used last year.
All returning lifeguards should
contact the pool manager, Vicky Dugan, by February 15th to confirm that
you are returning. If you would like to be a lifeguard, please send your
letter of intent to Vicky Dugan at the club address no later than March
15th.

The pool will be open for weekends
only, starting Saturday, April 14, until the end of school in June. The
hours will be from 12:30 to 7:00PM. Spring break for public schools starts
on April 16. During that week only, the pool will be open every day from
12:30 to 7:00PM. After that, it goes back to being open just on weekends.
The Swim Club currently has
approximately 90 families on the waiting list wanting to join our club.
